Thesis: Finding the beauty in old forgotten things.

The mundane, ordinary objects that we are surrounded by have so much to offer - if we take the time to really see them. This is the beauty that I gravitate to .... the weathered wood of a barn, full of texture and telling a story of what it once was; the old rusty machine parts, the decaying wood fence, the leaning barn walls, the overgrown hedgerow that is hiding an old farm truck. The things that most people consider unworthy of a second glance oftentimes catch my eye and imagination. I love giving these old, ugly things a second chance. I see the beauty of the form, texture, light, and shadow and I hope the viewers can too.
